I found a couple of thing hard But I made it through`

Blind Taste Testing

 Aim: 

I want to find out if food taste differently wen you cant see or smell.

Method:

Equipment:

1. Mystery Food
2. Blindfold
3. Popsicle Stick 

Instructions

1. Wash your Hands.
2. Get your Equipment.
3. Put your Blindfold on.
4. Pinch your Nose.
5. Put your hand out.
6. Get your food and eat it.
7. Unblock your Nose

Discussion:

How do you taste food? The food Taste pretty nice.

What are the Different tastes? Pickle, Chips and Lollies.

What Are the different taste buds on your tongue? Sour and sweet.

Does smell affect your taste? yes

I learnt That if you Eat with your nose block then unblock it can affect your tasting.

   

Edible slime

Aim:

I want to find out how to make edible slime.

Method:

Equipment:

• Marshmallows 
• Ice Block stick 
• Icing sugar
• paper cup
• Microwave
• vegetable oil 

Instructions:

1. get the Equipment 
2. Melt your marshmallows in a bowl/Cup
3. add icing sugar
4. mix icing sugar and marshmallows together 
5. wait 10 min for it to cool down 
6. mix in more icing sugar with your hands add oil if needed
7. put in for 20 secs

It felt so hard and sticky it was really smooth when I added Icing sugar my slime was ductile (Stretch into long thin lines) 

How to Light a Bunsen Burner

 Aim: 

I want to find out how to Safely use a Bunsen burner  

Method:

Equipment:

Lighter 

Heat Mat

Bunsen burner Mat\

Safety Glasses b4 I come there and

Instructions:

• Get Equipment 
• Safety glasses on
• Put a Heat proof mat under the Bunsen burner before turning it at ALL TIMES
• Connect the hose to the gas tap
• Turn the collar clockwise to close the Air Hole
• Slightly light the match or lighter over the gas but do not turn on the gas tap before you light it

Bacteria around our school

Aim:     

I want to find out what type of bacteria are around our school.

Research: 

Method:

Equipment: 

• Cue tips cotton Bud
• Agar plates
• Marker pen
• Cellotape

Instructions

1. Get your Equipment.
2. Wash your hands.
3. Use your marker pen to write your name and the location on the lid.
4. Wet the cue tip and swab the surface.
5. Gently swab the agar plate.
6. Tape around the edges of the agar plate.
7. put the agar plate in an incubator over night.
8. Observe the plate the next day.

Holidays

Hi Guys Welcome back to my blog today I will be letting you guys know what I did in the Holidays. In the Holidays I helped my dad cook dinner and I chilled at home watching some rugby games. I watched Wallabies vs All Blacks and the All Blacks won. 

I also went to Kaipoi River and had a swim there. It was really hot I had a Long Nice swim in the cold water it was super cold. I really Enjoyed my Holidays and it was really fun because I went beach and I got a haircut. My Dad cut my hair and I Really like it. I got my Haircut on the first week of the holidays because my dad said my hair was to long.

I enjoyed the holidays because most days it was Nice and sunny and I got to be outside playing. instead of staying outside

Coding

 Hello guys,

Welcome back to my blog today I will be sharing what we have been doing for coding. For Coding We have been learning how to use it to make our own projects. A Couple of weeks ago we had a dance Battle we had to create a project that was a dance theme and they each got voted. Truby won the Dance Battle he had an amazing and funny project.

It took Quite a while for me to get use to coding but I started to get the hang of it. The hardest part for me I recon was the coding part it was quite easy to find out what type of music I would use cause I just need to find one that matched the movements but I would really like to keep doing this I think it is great because it is fun and I get to learn new things.
