What is Music-HUR2

Hi guys,

Welcome back to my blog today I will be sharing what we did way back in week 2. I did not do this blog post so I am doing it now. Back in weeks 2 of the term we were working on a blog post about what is music. what is music? Well music can be made with any type of object. You can even make music out of you body parts like you hands, feet and your mouth too. 

If you are using parts of your body to make music that means it's called body percussion. If you dont know what body percussion is well I will tell you now. Body percussion is basically using parts of your body to make sound witch is music. That is what body percussion is. Like I said body percussion is parts of your body to make music. Hope you learnt something.

Guitar HUR2

 Hello guys,

Welcome back to my blog. Today I will be sharing what I have been doing so far this term for HUR2. 

This term For HUR2 we have been learning about Music and for this weeks HUR2 we are Looking at some Guitars Because guitars are one of the common instruments. In a Band there is mostly a guitarist in the band or drummer.

Take a look at some guitars that are used in bands a lot.

There are guitars that are normally used in bands. If it is in a Rock band then that would normally use Electrical guitars.

Counting the beat STOMP

Hi guys,

Welcome back to my blog today I will be sharing what I have been doing for counting the beat hurumanu making sounds like percussion. If you dont know what percussion music is well percussion music is something that makes sound when you add force to it or hitting something it will make a beat like your hands they can both make music by clapping each other it can make music. Body percussion is when you can use parts of your body to make music like your hands, foot, head and even your legs. Here is a video on you tube that you can watch and see what body percussion is. There is a video of me and my group doing the theme of pink panther. It was quite fast to learn and I really enjoyed learning how to make music using body percussion and other objects. Here is a you tube video of body percussion. Video There is a link to a very good example of body percussion. for our Theme of pink panther we used a small plastic tube, abacus, big cardboard tube and a jandal.

Ukulele

 Hi guys,

Welcome back to my blog today I will be sharing with you what I did for counting the beat. We are talking about Ukulele. There are many types of ukulele like electrical one and really small ones. Ukulele is part of the string family and it has 4 strings. Here is a photo of different types of ukulele's

There us a family of Ukulele Soprano, concert, Tenor and baritone. Those are the family for the ukulele. Ukulele is like a small guitar but at the same time its not. Ukulele have very small sound holes. Ukuleles make a really beautiful sound.

Counting the Beat Violins

 Hi guys,

Welcome back to my blog. today I will be sharing what I have been doing this week for counting the beat. For counting the beat we have been looking at violins. Violin is part if the string family. It is like a Ukulele but it has a Bow to use to play it. There are many electrical violins out there which is quite expensive. here is a photo of Villon's.

There is a photo of the Violins from Normal to electrical. There are many sizes of Violins. If you have small hands then there would be one for you but if you have big hands there would be some for you too. Violins have different shape sound Holes than Ukulele or guitars. Violins have a chinrest where you put your chin to hold it and play it.

Athletics Day

 Hello guys,

Welcome back to my blog today I will be sharing with you my experience on athletics day. On athletics day I really liked it because I like to do sprints for athletics. On athletics day I choose 100M, 200M, 400M, 100M and Long jump. here is a photo of athletics.

I cam first in all my sprints which are 100M, 200M, 400M. But I did  not get to do Long jump because it was at the same time as my 200M sprints. I also did the yr 7/8 relay team and we came first place in my relays for my yr group. After my event would finish I went to the sausage sizzle and helped them out because I was in polyfest and it was a fundraiser. I really enjoyed having athletics day because I got to see all the people doing what there good at or giving it a shot. I saw lots of people with paint on there faces and legs and arms.

I also saw one of the seniors running and took of there top well running and he was swinging it around well he was running it was really funny.

Polyfest 2021

 Hello guys,

Welcome to my blog. Today I will be talking about my polyfest time. This term we have been practising for polyfest day which is up coming week. If you don't know what polyfest is well here is a photo at polyfest. 

Polyfest is a program that many Polynesians and many other cultures come together to show there cultural amazing dances. This year I am doing polyfest for Hornby High school. We have done really well this term for polyfest practice and I can not wait till polyfest day comes up. At first I was a bit nervous to do it because there were not many boys and so I wanted to quit but then My dad said it does not matter about having more boys.
