Hi guys,
Welcome back to my blog today I will be telling you guys things and tips for hockey. In P.E we have been doing Hockey. What is Hockey? Hockey is a sport that was created in England in 1876.all you do in the game is a stick and ball and you try to hit in into the goal just like football but with a stick and small ball.
Here is a photo of Hockey

There is a photo of hockey
Hockey can be a really dangerous sport lots of bad things can happen like a ball going to your face or getting hit hard in ice hockey. Over the past week of doing Hockey I have found it really fun and I have learnt how to stop a hockey ball properly and also learnt how to hit it side to side.
Are you good at hockey? take a try and see if you like it. if you like it comment down below and let me know.
Hi guys,
Welcome back to my blog today. I will be showing you what I have been doing for Hur. For Hur we have been learning about the floods in Canterbury and what it caused people to do for safety. In Ashburton some places and house holds were flooded and many people were asked to evacuate their houses immediately due to safety percussion.
In Sringfield people were also asked to evacuate due to floodings in the local area and had to leave their houses. In Mandeville the sports centre and Rangiora Baptist church were set up as evacuation centres. Heavy rains continued to cause more damage to places and floodings on roads which were quite scary for many people and forced them to stay home and do online school due to floodings around Christchurch and other places. Hows were you affected?
Here are some photos of damage that has happend in some places

There is a photo of a car almost getting filled with the water. it is really sad to see how much people have to leave their homes because of the floods with out somewhere to go.
Aim:
I want to find out how to set my hands on fire while being safe at all times.

Hi guys,
Welcome back to my blog today I will be sharing with you what an Orchestra does and how it helps the band and why its important to have a orchestra. Orchestra is good for bands because it helps you tell when to stop and when to start. When having an orchestra you must keep your eyes on the orchestra because if you look away then you will not no what to do and what note you would have to do. Here is a video of an orchestra Video There is a video of an orchestra and how much better it sounds with a orchestra.
There are 4 Families of Instruments Percussion, Wood Wind, String and Brass. Here is a photo of some Instruments in those 4 families

There is a photo of percussion instruments now here is a photo of an orchestra

There is a photo of an orchestra. orchestra's mostly stand in the centre of the band so everyone can see the orchestra and so they know what there doing. If there was no orchestra in a band I think they would need a lot of practice in my opinion.
Hope you had learnt something about an orchestra and why there are always people standing in the middle with a little stick called baton.
